Lettering in MCJROTC

​There are also extra-curricular opportunities that will further develop, in a practical sense, those leadership skill sets learned in the classroom.

Involvement

Extra-curricular involvement that provide each cadet the opportunity to earn a letter in MCJROTC:

  • Marksmanship teams

  • Color Guard

  • Drill Teams

  • Physical Fitness Teams  

Requirements to Letter

​Those Cadets who demonstrate a high degree of participation and leadership have the opportunity to earn a letter jacket after completing a year in the MCJROTC program. During that year, the Cadet must have:

  • Competed in at least 2 competitions on any competitive team OR

  • Served the entire football season as a member of the "A-Crew"

  • AND completed at least 60 community service hours verified through X2Vol. 

The Letter Jacket, Letter, and one MCJROTC shoulder patch will be provided by the MCJROTC program.  Any additional patches or decorations will be the financial responsibility of the Cadet.​
