Allen High school Marine Corp JROTC Program participates in many community events, drills/meets, and football games through the year. Specific dates will be communicated directly to your cadet - who will be responsible for communicating to their families.

Summer/Fall
Cadet Summer Program
Mid/Late July
New LE1 cadets are invited. Cadets are introduced to drills, games, and basic information about JROTC. Cadets able to participate will also receive their uniforms. Lunch provided.
Participation is high encouraged but not required. Link to Register. Open to grades 8-12

Ensure your cadet's physical evaluation form has been completed and uploaded into Skyward by the start of the school year
Fall Parent Meeting
Early Fall Semester
Please join us for a parent evening - go over program highlights, cadets expectations, meet the instructors, and learn more about the MCJROTC Boosters. This also kicks off our annual membership drive which a key way you can support your cadet and the program.
Drill Dynamics Session
Early Fall Semester
Drill Dynamics company works with AHS cadets for a complete workshop around Drill expectations.
Service Academy Forums
August / September
Register for Service Academy Forums and information sessions hosted by local representatives. A good resource to check is USNA Events Page

Competitive Team Recruitment Sessions
August/September
For Competition Level Teams: Recruitment session dates will be communicated in class by cadet leadership teams. Cadets should review in-class postings for more details. Whats-app communication ability highly encouraged.
Football games
Fall - Home/Away
See AISD Football schedule. All cadets are encouraged to join. Required for A-Crew members
Volunteer Oppurtunity
AHS College Night Prep
September
AHS hosts an annual College Night. 100+ College, Universities, technical schools, and armed forces services will have representatives available to provide students and parents information about their educational programs. The AHS JROTC cadets are asked to assist with table setup prior to this event. Opportunity for up to 2 hours of service credit.
Photo Day
Sept/Oct
Cadet photos are taken in uniform. Initial and retake dates will be communicated in advance. Images will be available to purchase from photographer.​
Middle School Visits
Sept/Oct
Our cadet volunteers and leadership will visit AISD middle schools to introduce the programs to future students wishing to learn more about the program. Service Hour eligible.

Winter
Birthday Ball
November
Marine Corps Ball - Formal Event for JROTC (Annual Showcase Event) Celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday with Ceremony, Pomp and Circumstance. All Families invited.
Rotary Christmas Parade / Cookies & Cocoa
December
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Allen typically the first weekend in December. All school clubs encouraged to participate. Will meet for Cookies and Cocoa after as a unit.

Toys for Tots
December
Cadet-Let volunteer event in partnership with Marine Corp Toys for Tots program. Cadets will use sign-up genius to select dates and time they are available to collect toys. Dress Blues Uniform. Service Hour eligible.
Spring

Photos from the year are prepared for a unique custom book for cadets.

Leadership Camp (CLC)
March/April
Selected leadership and leadership candidates participate in a 3 day leadership training off-site.
Fundraising Event
March/April
Fund raising campaign to engage families in assisting with donations to the program. Digital.
End of Year Awards
May
Recognition event for cadets that have demonstrated excellence in the programs. Invites sent from cadet leadership to award winners and family members. Off-site location.
Cadet Intro Night / Spring Parent Meeting
End of May
Parent and new cadet night, to learn more about the program. Existing cadet leadership host this event to introduce and educate new cadets to the program for next year. Meeting is open to all parents of incoming and returning cadets to learn of changes for the upcoming year.
